Accessory parts for automobiles have been around since the invention of the automobile. Some items like air conditioning, audio equipment and even luggage racks were the foundation of this long-standing business. Customer fueled wants & needs combined with the lack of available items from the vehicle assembly plants drew manufactures to invent new products. What used to be an industry serviced by aftermarket small businesses, has now caught the interest of large OEM automotive manufacturers as the estimated global sales of automotive accessory products is over $400 billion.
